The number of good days to spend outside in the yard are increasing! I don’t know about you, but I find spending time outside fixing up the yard to be therapeutic. My yard looks better for it too!

Now is the time to get the flower beds prepped and the lawn tended to. There will be another landscaping contest this year and we want to have even more winners.

Your Pineview Homeowners Association purchased two complete Thanksgiving dinners for two needy families here in Pineview. The Neighborhood Watch also sponsored a food drive early in December. Thanks to your donations we were able to provide four needy Pineview families with a complete holiday meal. Next Neighborhood Watch meeting January 19th 7PM in the clubhouse. The Neighborhood Watch also did the judging for the Halloween and Christmas decoration contest. Come to the meeting and see what else we have been up to. We will start working on the Pineview Pre-National Night Out Festival and Car Show in August. For more info contact Jim Miller at 736-6733.

We may not be ready for the snow mentally yet, but it is coming! Time to brush up on our winter rules in the park. The driveways & sidewalks are your responsibility. We will be plowing the roads. No vehicles are allowed to park on the roads during the winter months. Please be considerate of our maintenance staff as they work to keep the roads clear and do not park on the roads.

We are looking for the best dressed home in Pineview for the holiday season once again! So break out your decorations and make the park shine!

The contest will be judged by the Neighborhood Watch and Pineview Homeowners Association once again. Much thanks to these groups for giving up time and energy to help make a better community.

We will give $500 to the winner, $250 to second place and $100 to third place.

We look forward to seeing the decorations and wish everyone a great holiday season as it kicks in!

Both the Neighbor Watch and Homeowners Association deserve a lot of credit for what they do, please consider joining their ranks if you have not done so already. I’ll post the upcoming meeting dates in this newsletter.

Thank you to everyone for participating in the decoration contest. It is great to see all of the homes lit up and decorated. Next up will be Christmas!

The judging for the contest was held on Thursday night by twelve members of the Neighborhood Watch and Homeowners Association. Thursday was selected because of the weather forcast for Friday.

Here’s how the judging took place. First place votes were worth 3 points. Second worth 2 points and third worth 1 point. Total number of points determined the winners. In the event if a tie, the number of first place votes determined that winner. We felt that this was the most fair way of judging.

Mrs. Gibbs was selected by an impartial jury to win our 2009 landscaping contest! Mrs. Gibbs will receive a months free lot rent and $500 cash!

We had a number of great homes to chose from. Thanks to everyone who stepped up and put in extra effort to make there homes look great! The following homes deserve special mention for their landscaping, but are listed in no particular order.
